ST. PIUS X PRAYER CHAIN -  If you or a family member is in need of prayers, or if you have a special intention, please contact Leah Kelly, Pastoral Minister, with your request so that it can be forwarded to our prayer chain. Anyone can call or email a prayer request to share with others. We have had some wonderful healing take place as a result of our prayer efforts! Faith and the power of prayer can work miracles. If you would like to pray for those in need, consider joining our parish prayer chain. Done exclusively through email, the prayer chain is a group of parishioners willing to pray for the intentions of others. Please call or email Leah Kelly at 614-866-2859 or lpkelly1987@gmail.com to join the St. Pius X Prayer Chain or to request a prayer or intention.

DID YOU KNOW? - St. Pius X has endowment funds managed and stewarded according to Catholic teachings at The Catholic Foundation. These funds are not only set up to benefit the longevity of the parish but to express your gratitude to God for a lifetime of blessings. A planned gift during your life, or a bequest in your will, directs valuable funds to the ministries of our parish. To find out how these funds benefit the St. Pius parish community, contact David Clark at 614-443-8893 or email DClark@catholic-foundation.org. “While we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people- but especially to those of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)

WE ARE ON A MISSION! - Join Monsignor David Funk as he leads the tour, “Catholic Culinary and Cultural Journey to the California Missions and Wine Country” on June 11-18, 2018. If you would like to travel with Monsignor Funk on his last trip before he retires to experience the missions, which represent a dynamic chapter in the history of California, visit a few wineries, and do some sightseeing along the way, then this trip is for you! If you have any questions, please call the rectory at 614-866-2859.

VIDEO OF THE MONTH -  Inspired by the diligence of professional athletes and St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, Fr. Mike Schmitz encourages us to approach our prayer life – and life in general – with a goal and sense of purpose. Getting physically in shape requires more than just a casual workout, and getting spiritually in shape requires more than going through the motions of our religion. To view our video, visit our Adult Faith Formation webpage.

HOW ABOUT A NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION TO FIRM UP YOUR FAITH? Formed.org is a website that can best be described as “Netflix for Catholics.” It provides a comprehensive offering of high quality movies, short videos, audio books, and seminars from well-known Catholic teachers and presenters who will help you grow and develop your faith. Formed is available via your computer, tablet, or mobile phone, so you can watch and listen no matter where you are – any time, any place – the Catholic faith on demand. There is a free 7-day trial and if you continue, the cost is $9.99 per month, which is less than many gym memberships. Check out the preview video on the Adult Faith Formation webpage. There’s something for everyone. Give it a try!

JOSEPH’S COAT COOKIE SALE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! A huge thank-you to the many, many bakers, packers and sellers for the 2017 St. Pius X Cookie Sale. It was a huge success! Initial counts indicate that $3,822.00 was raised by St. Pius X parishioners. Messiah Lutheran and Parkview Presbyterian, our partners at Joseph’s Coat, raised $1,998.00, which brings us to over $5,820.00 raised for Joseph’s Coat. This will be used to help provide warm clothing and shoes for the winter. It also will be used to buy heavy-duty shelving for our warehouse to store clothing and other items for upcoming seasons. We thank all our parishioners for their tremendous support of the cookie sale. Please mark your calendars for our 2018 sale which will be held on the weekend of December 15/16, 2018.
